Unable to access Alibre

Hey everyone :)

While working today, I had to restart my PC because of a Windows Update [Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 22H2 (KB5022303)].
When I logged back in and tried to start Alibre, I was met with an error. Image attached in this message.

I have contacted Support via the form link on the Help Page, but I am afraid it'd take time to reply because of different Timezones.

I was under the impression that Alibre didn't require Internet to phone home, the license once registered stays Node Locked.
The license is only operated on this one PC, never released it.

I wanted to ask, has anyone encountered a similar problem like this and found a fix?
I have tried clean installing and reinstalling but that didn't solve my problem.

Little worried, as I have to show my client some changes in a design we are working on by EOD and I am unable to access my Alibre parts and assemblies.

Hi all, a positive update.
I got a response from Support within 30 minutes and the issue was solved.
The license file got corrupted and I was able to solve it by following the steps mentioned in this article.
*Invalid Error Code Solution*

The question mark in the error image above sent me to this article though, otherwise wouldn't have needed to bother Support.
*There was an error getting license status*

I am really impressed by how quick the support team was in helping me.
I have never seen such a response time, kudos to the Support Specialists.
Really happy to be associated with Alibre Design.

The message output by the software is generic and is qualified by the actual error code reported, hence the advice to contact support in the second link.

The first link hasn't got the most obvious title (it was originally written to address a specific case but the same fix is useful for many others), it includes access to a bat file to delete the local licence files - some that are less familiar with making hidden files visible etc. find that easier than the purely manual method.

Alibre does check the licence at every launch (if a network connection is available) to reset the 30 day timeout. Problems can occur if there is a comms glitch during the licence check - those with patchy internet connectivity are more likely to be affected.

Most licence related errors (as long as the licence is actually valid for the installed version) are resolved by deletion of local licence files.
