Unable To Chamfer Edge Correctly

Good evening all,

I was trying to chamfer some tubing and noticed that It was causing an inconsistency in the model and wouldn't allow it. I'm basically attempting to do a 45 deg cut on some square tubing for a platform and it doesn't seem to want to work. I also tried making a cut just as I would in Inventor or SOLIDWORKS by drawing a 45 deg line across the face profile but it didn't let me select the portion of it to cut. Any suggestions?

Can you upload a screen shot of the issue? Have you been able to chamfer other models?

I just applied a chamfer to a square tube and it worked just fine.

@HaroldL I'm attempting to run a 45deg mitre cut on this tube but it keeps coming up as an inconsistent portion of the model for some reason. I would imagine this is how you would want to do this?

Yeah, I just tried a large chamfer like that and it does not work. For an angled cut like that use Draft Face:

@HaroldL I'm attempting to make a draft with the same logic but can't do a 30deg on one side and a 60deg on the other, any suggestions? 1649999882049.png

EDIT: Is there a way to do this without using math to calculate the angle of the draft? It's kind of a hassle to do a triangle calculation every time I need to chamfer something that isn't 30/45/60 degrees.

Draft works on the whole face and may not be a viable option for a double chamfer like your image.
I was able to apply a chamfer with your dimensions on each edge. (Odd that it wouldn't work on the previous sample part)

You could also use an Extrude Cut for each, or combine them into one cut.
Here's an image of the sketch for creating both chamfers in one cut.
( I was going to upload a model but your signature says you're still on v21. :( )

afterwards i opend a sketch to be able to show the resulting dimensions...

As the dimensions were made through the chamfers, they are all in parentheses...

And,sorry also with tubes...
