Update assembly to reflect part changes.

I have 3 parts and an assembly open, these parts make up the assembly.

I change a part in the part's window and click Save. I then click onto the assembly window, click the "regenerate" button........

Nothing changes.

Am I doing something wrong?

Hi Phil

If I understand you correctly then you can not do what you want, you must close the part windows and edit your parts from within the assembly.

If you wish you can edit each part in its own window by right click and edit part or alternatively hold the shift key, but there is no save option until you return to the root assembly.

Unfortunately this only works the way you want it to if you opened the parts from inside the assembly using the right click/edit part while holding down the shift key technique. Then, as Steve said, you have to go back to the main assembly to save.
