V26 Save Older Versions

Hello All,
Searched the forums to see if it was possible to save as an older version of Alibre and didn't find anything suggesting I can. Is this possible while on V26, specifically saving an Alibre Part file.
Thanks,
Jake

Short answer is no, because earlier versions of Alibre don't know how to handle later features and functionality!

You can ONLY save a CAD neutral 'dumb' model and import into earlier versions, i.e. STEP, etc.

Yeah. Unlike Altium which was preceded by Protel99 SE for doing PC board layouts. When they open a file they know which version created the schematic or PCB layout and will run a conversion on the drawing.

You can make all sorts of changes. Then when it's time to save up comes a dialog that asks how you want to save it.
