Vertical Dimension Note Tail

Hi All,

Just wondering whether others experience the same problem as me.

When I put a note on a vertical dimension, the dimension line always grows a tail below the dimension:


Anyone else have this problem? Any fixes? Thanks!

Haven't had an opportunity to do any drawing dimensions yet but how does it look if you place the note below the dimension text?
I'd send this to Support for sure.

Hi Harold,

Thanks for your response. To my surprise, it's the same problem with the note below the dimenision:

If there aren't any fixes from the community then I'll send it off to support - thank you for the suggestion.

Another thing you could try, just to see the result, is to toggle the arrows out and see if the "tail" shrinks. I think there must be something wrong with how Alibre "reads" the dimension text size and how it fits between the extension lines. I've always had the problem with the "smart" dimensions not flipping the arrows when the text gets close to them. It seems the arrow leader is not calculated for when to "flip" the arrows out.
