I use several software where I work and in conjuction with Alibre we get plenty done. Just asking so please no bashing.
I use Bobcad/cam a cheaper software but with potential and it has many little feature Alibre doesn't.
Like the surface modeling, vectorizing text, surface coloring with solid unstitching/stitching, Bobart (great way to vectorize pictures and machine them 3D), gear module (simple gear design but can create quick and easy gear forms), surface stitching, Lathe, milling and wire EDM CAM(may not be a good as full Alibre CAM in milling though there is potential). Downside is no parametric drawing capabilities so that makes designing in it non-realistic.
I also have Autocad. Several version but my favorite for 2D was V2000. Great 2D tools but what a pill to keep updating. (never liked 3D in AC though).
Some graphics software and some lesser known CAD/CAM systems like Mechanic and Mazak Camware (no 3D in these but specialized application).
