Where did my MFiles go?

I just returned from vacation and went to look at some work that should be in my MFiles.
When I attempt to open a recent file, I get an error message?
When I look in the MFiles explorer, I see the 2 Alibre folders, but I do not get asked to sort like I did previously?
When I look into my Alibre_2 folder I do not find the file structure, only ID & ID2 & OFFLINE folders.
There are some files hiding there but only a few, not the hundreds that belong there?
I did travel with my laptop, and shut it down at night.
When booting I am not getting the MFiles prompt that asks if I want to work offline.
I get a connection failed message in the MFiles administrator, "The RPC server is unavailable".
The connection properties are:
Alias: Local Computer
Server name: (local)
Port number:
Protocol: Local Procedure Call (LPC)

Connection Failed (4:12:10 PM)
The RPC server is unavailable

Server: (local)
Use the connect command to try again

Any ideas?????

BTW, I do have a back-up, but I'm a bit afaraid to do a restore least I loose it all.

Solved!
The issue was not an MFiles issue, it was a WIndows issue.
Somehow the WIndows boot files were corrupted.
I searched the error message "RPC server unavailable" and found several answers.
Some wanted me to download their software, not a good idea.
The Microsoft site had answers but I foind this simple fix.
Run msconfig from the start window.
Select normal startup and apply
click ok
shut down windows & cold boot.

Afetr re-start, MFile allowed me to logon my vaults.
Everything appears to be back to normal.
