Why can't you rename a Sketch in Atom3D when 2D sketching is active??

The manual says:

Capture.PNG

but when I do this when 2D sketching is active, I don't get a Rename command:

Capture.PNG

Apparently it's necessary to exit 2D sketching and only then does one get the Rename option --- why?

When your in 2D sketching mode, the UI is focused on editing the content of the sketch and possibly uses the name internally to reference it and those edit actions. If you change the name mid process, there would be unpredictable results. It's normal to create the sketch, edit it, exit the edit (create) mode, then your free to rename it to whatever you like.

If you watch closely as you create a sketch you may see that it does not appear in the Design Explorer until after you either exit the sketch or select a Feature to create, like Extrude Boss or Extrude Cut. Only in the Feature dialog can you assign a name to the feature. You still need to RMB on the feature name in the DE to rename it.

Here is an example from Alibre Design Expert, I would think that Atom3D is functionally very similar.
