Work online connect problems...can't get the V9 SP1

I try to 'work online' (dial up) to get the SP1 and I get this message:

The client failed to connect to the server because the client software version, 9.0.0.9238, is greater than the maximum allowed by the server to connect, 8.2.0.9072.


What's up with this ??

From what I know, Alibre uses different servers for each major release. So, there is a version 8 server and a version 9 server (as well as older release servers).

It sounds as if you were hitting the version 8 server, but it does not allow you to do so.

That is weird, contact Alibre.

I was having the same problem. The "fix" for me was to make sure the "work offline at start up" option IS NOT selected in Tools>options from the Home window.

Then make your internet connection and restart Alibre to allow it to log into the server.
