I usually select a plane and an axis, then the dialogue window calls for an angle...

If the new plane is needed at an axis other than X,Y,Z, of course the axis can be added first.

There are many ways to insert planes, so the method of choice depends on the circumstance.

To get an angled plane, you first need an axis to act as a 'pivot'. If you need your angled plane to be offset, you must first offset the axis:

You could make an angled plane, then make a second one offset from the first, but the method outlined here has less clutter, IMO (no H, because everyone knows I'm not humble...).

Hope this helps!

thanks guys
i find it buggy, if i offset a axis and attach a workplane, angle it say 45 deg
if the angle is changed the axis offset distant changes.. strange

I use this all the time and never have a problem.
Could it be that your new axis isn't completely constrained?

I tried to replicate that issue using Jordan's example and the axis remains stable when changing the angle.

Can you upload a file that is misbehaving?

here is an example
if the plane angle is changed eg 10deg to 45 deg the height of the workplane changes

I generally offset the plane first then create a new axis using the new plane and the one it intersects (x,y) I then create a plane using the new plane and the new axis with the desired angle. always works and it give me a nice spacial reference when rotating the sketch.
