Editing a part doesn't update a drawing of the part?

In Alibre v10, SP1, when I edit a part that has previously had a drawing created, the edits made to the part never get updated in the drawing. I was under the impression that this was done automatically, but I certainly could be wrong. The sequence of events is:
1. Make a part, then close the part file.
2. Create a drawing of the part, then close the drawing file.
3. Open the part, and make edits.
4. Save and close the part file.
5. Open the drawing. The edits made in (3) above are not reflected in the drawing.

Thanks for the help!

Try 'reprojecting outdated views' in the drawing - that might do the trick.

Good thought, but that doesn't seem to be it. I just went in and tried all three "Reprojection" options ("fast", "precise", and something else) and none of them actually updated the drawing.

Thank you for looking at my problem; any other thoughts are welcome!

Thank you,
Dave

I believe this will fix your problem.

In Drawing go to Tools/Options/General/Drawing and check Prompt for Newer Versions.

There is a similar option for Part/Sheet Metal/Assembly/BOM.

Gentlemen, I hang my head in shame. I was editing a very similar, but different part, and expecting the changes to show up on the wrong drawing. How infuriating. I thank you both for your answers, and apologize for wasting your time.

Best regards,
David
