It's possible that what I'm trying to do is not doable inside of Alibre Design ?? But I thought I'd ask the question first before giving up.
McMaster-Carr has a lot of 3D CAD files in STEP format that for whatever reason I can't seem to constrain in any form or fashion using Alibre Design ??? I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, or if it's possibly due to these models being created using "surfaces" instead of "solids" ???? (And Alibre won't allow me to insert IGS files which are also available in 3D from McMaster-Carr.) Or maybe as I said such is simply not doable ???? This happens with every type of STEP File I attempt to make use of from there ??????
No matter how I attempted to precisely constrain these McMaaster-Carr STEP files, such as this Eye Bolt into the hole in the tube, it simply would not allow any type of constraint I attempted. And the "concentric" constraint wouldn't even activate ????
Any ideas on how I can resolve this frustrating dilemma ??
