Trimming not active

Trimming should allow to trim overlapping or touching sketch lines. Under which circumstances is this operation active ?

Actually 3 different circles intersecting each other. So, 3 single sketches.

If you want to trim intersecting circles they must be in the same sketch. Otherwise, project two of them into the active sketch and then trim the result.
Can you screen shot an example of what your are attempting to do?

Thanks for the solution. It works. The project into one not. I had to redraw everything.
