What year version is the first to use the current license server?

The question came up elsewhere, and I could not find search terms that gave a good answer.

2017, the first release by Alibre, LLC. after acquiring the product from Geomagic/3DS.

Thanks. The person will be pleased, although they are having problems with an error of "unable to initialize library".

Library or License? - maybe the person should contact support.

Dunno which, he said "library". He's not on support, most people with old versions are not.

I suggested restarting the install, or getting an install file from support, which I think does not require being "on support".

If 'library' that may take more diagnosis. Support will generally try to help if software isn't working. If no support subscription, then it may take longer to respond than it would for those with subscriptions.
