/bump
because I want to make sure I try this out when I get home where I have Alibre and Open Office installed. I better check what update I'm on.

Do you have a link to a website that explains more about this? I'd love to read up on it prior to downloading the .zip file via your link.

Yes Miles, :D

Please open a new OO calc sheet and save as: xxx
- Open an Alibre Part
- Start OO Connect
- Click "Session" : You can find your Alibre part

It is so easy you can not make a mistake and there is no "Permanent Link" between the sheets and Alibre parts. You can have many sheets for one part...

Opened part then open office connect seen my dimension values there
edited each row what dimension goes in what cell and units then browsed to my blank sheet.

Closed open office connect reoppened sheet but sheet is still blank what am I missing?

What more need be said? This is great stuff, Ralf!:D

I do have one request, though. We should have a "none" unit option for count and scale type parameters, which are unitless. It still updates and works, but counts (for example, number of holes in a pattern) get highlighted in red in the EQ editor, because of units.

OK, maybe another request: The ability to remove a link in the Tool.

OK maybe a third... no, wait... it's just two. Just kidding!

Hi Jordan,

Thank you for your proposals.
To be honest ... We had forgotten...

Please have a look:

I have updated the existing link.

Please uninstall the old version" Alibre Design OO Connect" previously.

Yes you can use it with XP SP2. :)
We have tested it with XP S2 and Vista 32 bit without problems.
Should you have problems, please inform me.

Thanks ralf3 for this nice little add on...

Anyway, there are two things I would like to know:

Is there a way to link different configurations of a single part to
different cells / worksheets?

And where does it store the connection information?
