.igs import issue

having some trouble with a large .igs file. It took about an hour! to import but did work. I saved the file but when I reopen It nothing is there. The part is visible and looks perfect in the thumbnail for recent files, but when I open it there is nothing?? any tricks I am missing??? I have tried to re-import it a couple times and always the same result....

only way I could import without it just sitting for days was stitch to solid and nothing else checked off..

AD isn't the greatest at imports. Sadly. And unlike other CAD softwares (eg. Creo) there aren't proper repair options. If you have Moi you can do a check for naked edges and repair based on the result.

In my experience the best formats for imports are step and 3dm. Any chance you can get one of those formats?

See Max's request for 'difficult files' in another thread (which helpfully I can't find at the moment) - send the file to support for testing in the new import technology that Alibre is considering for v2019.
