I was really hoping they would have gone for a larger resolution save. I guess if someone needs higher res images they need to use something else to render with or fork over another $1 or $2K for the real Keyshot or Keyshot Pro. I know that this won't be happening for me anytime soon.

Based way before the last newsletter, that is correct :)

Shot looks to be a good product. However, it is aimed at very high end graphics designers. They want you to use special hardware (CUDA enabled graphics cards) etc. to take advantage of their architecture. Our users will in general just not do that. Our users in general want a good solution that doesn't require additional hardware expenditure *and* is capable on a CPU of making breathtaking photo realistic images. KeyShot 2.0 is very, very fast on only a CPU.
